Hi, I’m May Lin!

I’m a woman, athlete, mother, lover of languages, and Lake Michigan beach enthusiast.

Thank you for being here!

I’m grateful to have had a lot of really interesting life experiences and adventures. Some of the highlights include: a semester abroad in Ecuador (studying ecology, conservation, and Spanish), working at a children’s hospital managing a research project in alternative medicine, nannying with a family in Italy, student teaching (biology and Spanish) in New Zealand, and traveling to other places like Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Australia, and China. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for the past 8 years, which has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. Before that, I was a middle school and high school Spanish teacher and volleyball coach.

I feel strongly connected to and draw inspiration from the earth, animals, and nature. In my free time, I love playing beach volleyball, throwing frisbee, baking, singing, and spending time outdoors with my family.

My Philosophy

I am interested in honoring you and what is, not what should be. Life is complex and difficult at times; this is something that needs to be acknowledged and seen. As Rumi says, “These pains you feel are messengers; listen to them.”

I’ve come to believe that understanding and being honest with ourselves is one of the most important things we can do. This allows us to see and hear ourselves clearly. And from there, we can figure out what we need to lead a life that is true to our intention.

Postpartum Support

My passion for postpartum support came from having kids of my own. Through my experience in the postpartum period, I realized how critical support and care was during this challenging and unique time. I am certified as a postpartum doula through ProDoula and am committed to providing nurturing, caring, and non-judgemental support to individuals and families.

“Bravery is not the absence of fear. Bravery is feeling the fear, the doubt, the insecurity, and deciding that something else is more important.”
